Tribute & Message From The Family

Randel D. Cameron, 67, lost his long fought battle with leukemia surrounded by family and friends on Friday, October 20th.
Born in Punxsutawney, PA, Randy spent his adolescent years in New Jersey and was a graduate of Bridgewater Raritan High School West. After two years of study at RCA Institute in New York City he joined the U.S. Navy. He then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Rutgers University in New Brunswick.
A deep interest in the financial markets propelled Randy into a successful career as a sought after investment advisor. His work brought him first to Boston and Westford, MA and then to Bedford, NH where he and his family settled for the next 27 years.
Randy was an avid sportsman with golf being at the top of his list. He was fortunate to combine business with pleasure as a member of the Manchester Country Club, serving on the finance committee and then as a board member. He also served on the board of The Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. However, above all of his life's many accomplishments, he was most proud of and truly adored his five children and ten grandchildren. "Pop" was a magnet for the little ones as they all would fly into his arms when they came through the door.
Randy earned respect from anyone fortunate enough to have known and spent time with him. He was a role model for many who looked to him for advice and guidance. His unparalleled listening skills gave him the ability to make everyone feel valued and important. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
Randy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dodie Arntz Cameron; children, Nancy Cameron and husband Toke Thatcher, Amy Cameron, Chip Cameron and wife Adrienne, Brian Cameron and wife Sarah, Katie Cameron Spires and husband Ben; sister, Patricia Elliott; 10 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a band of kids he mentored along the way.
Randy was predeceased by his son Jason R. Cameron, parents Kenneth and Sally Cameron and brother, Kenneth R. Cameron.
Services will take place Friday October 27th at 2:00pm at St Lawrence Church, 1 E Union St. Goffstown, NH followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 3:00pm at The Manchester Country Club, 180 South River Rd. Bedford NH. In Lieu of flowers consider donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis TN (800) 822-6344 or The American Heart Assoc. The Cremation Society of NH is assisting the family with arrangements. To view an online memorial or leave a message of condolence please go to www.csnh.com

Condolence & Memory Journal

We are so sorry to hear of Randy's death. I have many good memories of him Dodie and their children. The last time I saw them was probably 30 + years ago but never forgot them. He helped me move into my first apartment and we worked together for many years in N.J. and briefly here in NYC.

I worked with Randy for many years on many different clients. He was a true professional, and became a dear friend. His desire to spend his last years with the family he loved was a reflection of what was truly important to him. I admired his courage as he faced the unknown with grace and dignity. How we will all miss him. My deepest sympathy to his family on their loss.

God blessed us with this special person who filled our hearts and minds with his love, friendship and great intellect. I am so proud and honored to have had Randy as my brother-in-law and will deeply miss his candor, his smile and his laughter and the special bond that connects "Family" together, despite the 3000 miles that have separated us the past 30 years. Randy was "always there" for anyone that needed a friend, a mentor or a helping hand in the constant struggles of daily life. The love he expressed for his family, his Mom and Dad, his siblings and of course his children was never ending. The love and faithfulness he had for my sister Dodie grew even stronger thru the years as well as my parents who" ADORDED" Randy. Words can never express how deeply he will be missed but his legacy will live on thru his children and his grandchildren and there will always be a fond memory of him in their deeds and life's work. Randy will always have a very special place in Connie's and my heart and the fond memories of our time together will never be forgotten. We will miss him deeply.
