Tribute & Message From The Family

Ajay Khambadkone was born on July 20th, 1976 in Mumbai (then Bombay), India to Shrikar and Sharda Khambadkone. Ajay grew up in Bombay as the younger of two siblings.

Ajay loved his family deeply, and is survived by wife, Amitha (Alekal), daughter Kriti, and son Neel; his father and mother Shrikar and Sharda Khambadkone; brother Uday; his favorite pet dog Bella; and a loving extended family consisting of many aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and their children.

Ajay attended St. Thomas Academy followed by Patkar College, both in Goregaon, Mumbai. He pursued his degree in Electrical engineering at Walchand Institute of Technology in Sholapur, Maharashtra, and later received an MBA degree from University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA.

Ajay had a curious mind and loved building things, which led him to pursue a career as a software engineer. He began his career at Tata Consultancy Services in Mumbai, and later joined Tachion in New Jersey, where he worked for a brief time before moving to Massachusetts to join Telica, Inc. and later worked at Movik Networks. Most recently, he was working at Bose Corporation in Framingham, MA

In January 2004, he married Amitha, whom he met in person three days before their wedding. The two settled in Grafton, MA, where their beautiful children Kriti and Neel were born, and currently lived in Westborough, MA.

Throughout these years, Ajay made countless number of friends everywhere he went and more importantly, kept in touch with all of them as much as possible. He was the life of all parties, made everyone laugh with his silly antics, jokes, and comments, through which he touched many hearts. He was a doting father and loving husband and spent every minute with them. He enjoyed playing board/ card games with the family, going on a hike, cooking special meals that were his kids' favorites, gardening, solving puzzles, and singing old Bollywood songs. He loved traveling, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people. Ajay will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
