Obituary

CONCORD, MA- Dorothy M. Ball, 88, slipped away into Heaven peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving children and her dogs, after a brief illness.

She was the wife of the late Robert A. Ball and is survived by her 3 children and their husbands: Cynthia R. Oulighan and her late husband, Steven J. Oulighan of Concord Ma; Susan and John Bland of Derry, NH; and Jonathan Ball and Robert Cook of Pembroke, NH. She was the loving Grandmother/Great Grandmother of Susan and Matt Dunham and their children Ethan, Josiah, Levi, Asher and Clover Mae of Wappingers Falls, NY; Robyn and Edwin Hamel and their children Alex, Max, Mia and Natally of Concord, Ma; Kristen and Anthony Pagano and their daughters Abigail, Layna and Paige of Mars, PA; Katy and Brian Wuoti and their sons Everett, Griffin, Rook and Rowan of Wilmington, VT; Megan and David Ash and their sons Oliver and Archer of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Trevor and Kristen Bland of Exeter, NH and Wesley and Katy Bland and their daughter, Addison Rose of Newmarket, NH. She is also survived by her sister, Faith Johnson and her 4 children of Georgetown, Ma.

Born on September 29, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. Haley and the late Edith Ferguson of Springfield, Ma. She graduated from American International College in 1952 and went on to work for a prestigious Architectural firm in Boston, Ma. She then met her husband and started on the incredible journey of motherhood. As a stay at home mother, she found ways to help provide for the family by teaching private piano lessons and babysitting for others' children. She also introduced her love for animals to her children as they grew; her care for dogs, cats, and horses were an everyday occurrence and passion for her children as well, as she supported their endeavors with providing riding lessons and attending countless horseshows. She also owned her own successful Hair Salon in Hooksett NH, as well as Manchester, NH after she raised her children. She was a successful business owner, avid horse woman and deeply involved with the "Fast Friends Greyhound Rescue" out of Swanzey, NH.

Her greatest passion in life was to faithfully love and serve her family well. She will be greatly missed by everyone her life touched throughout the years.
A service honoring and celebrating her life will be held on December 8th, 2018 at 1:00 PM at West Parish, Andover, in the beautiful stone chapel within the cemetery. This is located across from the main church building on 129 Reservation Rd. Andover, Ma.

In lieu of flowers, Please send a donation to the Fast Friend Greyhound Rescue at 14 W. Swanzey Rd. Swanzey, NH. 03446. The Cremation Society of New Hampshire is assisting the family with arrangements.
