Obituary for Kimberly A. Dunleavy

February 7, 1969 - November 1, 2019
Manchester, New Hampshire | Age 50

Kimberly A. (Sheridan) Dunleavy, 50, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack. She had fought a hard battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for eight years and is now flying with the angels above.

She was born and raised in Dorchester MA and a resident of Manchester, NH for 22 years. During her elementary years, she attended Saint Ambrose elementary school in Dorchester, MA. She was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing high school in South Boston and attended Quincy College for a degree in Health Care. She was employed in the health care field for many years. She also was a housing specialist for the Manchester Housing and Redevelopment Authority. Her most recent employment was driving a cab. She excelled in these career paths as she was known as an outgoing and caring person.

Kim enjoyed good food, lots of laughs, and being with her family and friends. There was never a morning she didn't wake up to have her coffee; it sure was one of the many loves of her life! Some of her favorite past times were watching CNN nightly, medical TV series, movies, summer days by the lakes, and finding joy in all the simplest things. But most importantly Kim loved being able to connect and make an impact on the peoples lives around her.

Anyone who knew Kim knows that she had the most genuinely kind, beautiful, and compassionate heart. She would do anything for anyone, even if it meant putting herself out. She was one of the strongest woman we will have the pleasure of knowing here on the Earth.

Beloved wife of her childhood sweetheart, James Joseph Dunleavy for 16 years. She was the loving mother of James J. and Cailee M. Dunleavy of Manchester. One of seven siblings, she was the dear sister of John Sheridan, Kathleen Corcoran, Pamela Fasczca, Michael Sheridan, Lawrence Sheridan and deceased Kevin Sheridan. Kim is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will take place at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St., Manchester on Friday from 6 to 7 PM with a memorial service to follow in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 PM. The family encourages pink colored attire in honor of Kim. Donations can be made to any COPD, Ostomy, and/or Cancer foundations in memory of her battle.
